Tommy is downright sick of his job. He’s too old to keep delivering pizzas for his dad, and yet young enough where he can still shine if he really tries. With a potential job offer on the table, he is almost ready to tell his dad he’s done, even though he knows it would break his heart. Everything changes when he is sent to his ex-girlfriend’s house for a delivery.
He finds that Rachel is trapped in a loveless marriage and that his very presence, made possible under the guise of pizza, brings her back to when she was young and happy, to the girl he used to know. Their renewed relationship keeps Tommy content with his job, but the more time he spends with her, the more suspicious his dad gets that he has found another job. Tensions rise and Tommy is forced to choose between two worlds: a bright future with the girl from his past, or the empty pizzeria with dad.
Development for Delivery Boy began in the summer of 2009 and lasted through the beginning of October. The film was shot in HD on the Panasonic HVX for two days in Massapequa, Long Island, and one night in Manhattan.
