Benjamin is a New York based independent filmmaker, Emmy-nominated production sound mixer and amateur musician/comedian. He was raised on Long Island and started making films in middle school on his friend’s home-movie camera. He has since acted in numerous theatrical productions, written, produced and directed multiple short films, frequently tinkers on the guitar and recently began performing stand-up comedy around the city.
Benjamin graduated in 2010 from New York University’s Undergraduate Film & TV program and is actively pursuing a career in directing feature films while mixing various film and television projects. Recent credits include Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again, NBC’S The Blacklist, Shortcomings directed by Randall Park, and Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie. Other highlights of his career include working with Steven Spielberg, Spike Jonze, Noah Baumbach, Robin Williams, Ben Stiller, Al Pacino and Halle Berry.
Benjamin loves traveling, watching movies, rock climbing, comedy, cooking, playing chess, and bike riding. He has a special place in his heart for the dark, the absurd and for all things sci-fi.
